Jewelers Mutual Group is a financially secure and innovative company founded in 1913 to serve the jewelry industry. The UX Researcher will lead research efforts to enhance user experiences across digital products, collaborating closely with UX Designers and stakeholders to inform strategic product decisions.
Design and execute user research studies, using mostly qualitative and some quantitative methods, to understand user behaviors, motivations, and trends.
Coordinate and build participant repository for research sessions, including recruitment (sourcing and acquiring users for testing) and session scheduling.
Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations to drive impact while maintaining high quality, even with quick turnaround times.
Communicate research findings effectively through excellent storytelling, customizing communication based on stakeholder needs.
Support UX Designers in research efforts, building effective relationships with UX Designers, product teams, and stakeholders.
Document and communicate research findings in a research repository for team members and internal partners to access.
Gather context and prioritize the most important and high-leverage research opportunities by working with UX designers and product teams.
Bring to light journey-driven opportunities for improvement or new products.
Qualification
Required
2+ years of conducting UX research in-house
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/and or experience in UX research or similar will be considered.
Direct experience conducting design research across different types of methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, exploratory, generative)
Highly skilled in qualitative research methods
Ability to think strategically regarding the application of data and research
Strong problem-solving capabilities, turning constraints into opportunities
Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Ability to communicate research insights in compelling, memorable ways that drive clear action
Ability to understand and relate to users' needs and perspectives
A talent for identifying opportunities in user flows
Ability to forge strong partnerships with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible, adapting to changing priorities
Eager to continue in development of research skills to the highest standards, including clear articulation of research objectives, thoughtful selection of methods, rigorous synthesis, and engaging and precise communication of findings
