Responsibilities

  • Supports the development of solution architecture artifacts, such as capability maps, roadmaps, and reference architectures under guidance of senior architects.
  • Supports the creation of standard definitions and reference models.
  • Supports and helps facilitate solution architecture reviews.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their goals. Supports the development of IT and architectural roadmaps to align with their needs.
  • Participates in the evaluation and selection of technologies and platforms. Supports monitoring the current-state solution portfolio and basic analysis of technology trends.
  • Assists in the design and development of solutions that address specific business needs. Supports the development of solution designs, including system integration and data flow.
  • Assists in translating business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints.
  • Assists in the identification and resolution of technical issues during implementation. Supports the implementation and testing of solutions.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of solution architecture documentation.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years of relevant architecture experience required.

  • Analytical Thinking – Strong problem-solving skills to identify architectural challenges, analyze requirements, evaluate options, and propose effective solutions.

  • Systems Thinking – The process of testing conducted on a complete integrated system to evaluate the system's compliance with its specified requirements.

Preferred

  • Fleet Management: Experience with tracking vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and driver behavior using telematics and GPS tracking systems.
  • Route Optimization: Proficiency in dynamic route planning, optimizing fuel consumption, and reducing transit times using software tools and algorithms, along with a strong understanding of geospatial and mapping technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), Electronic Logging Devices (ELD), and driver safety protocols, with familiarity in both state and federal trucking regulations as well as international rail standards.
  • Intermodal Freight Solutions: Ability to design and optimize end-to-end logistics solutions integrating truck, rail, and marine transportation, focusing on cost, speed, and environmental impact.
  • Customs and Border Regulations: Experience with import/export processes, customs clearance, and cross-border regulations, particularly for international freight involving multiple transportation modes.
  • Last-Mile Delivery: Expertise in optimizing last-mile delivery, including routing, time-window optimization, and addressing consumer-specific delivery requirements.
