Data Specialist, Workforce Transformation

Responsibilities

  • Working with cross functional teams and IT leaders to identify business opportunities and frame the analytics problem
  • Obtaining, manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing structured and unstructured data from diverse sources
  • Deploying models as proofs of concept or fully productionized implementations
  • Monitoring and maintaining deployed models to ensure continued effectiveness
  • Quantifying business impacts and communicating actionable recommendations with business partners to drive informed decisions
  • Promoting data driven decision making across the company by delivering workshops and tutorials

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, etc.) or relevant experience
  • 2 years practical experience with data extraction, cleaning, and analysis
  • Familiarity with SQL and visualization software, e.g., Power BI, Tableau
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with capability to manage complex, nested, formulas, queries and lookups
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Suite of Applications including PowerPoint, Sharepoint Lists, and Word

Preferred

  • Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R, Java)
  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or similar data visualization tools preferred
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across cross-functional teams and leaders
  • Passion for learning and development
  • Interest in teaching and coaching others, and leading workshops and tutorials
