Fanatics is a sports merchandise retailer that manufactures fan gear and jerseys across retail channels. They are seeking a User Experience Researcher to drive user-centered decision-making across product teams by executing research projects that enhance understanding of fan behaviors, needs, and pain points.
Support the Sr. Manager of UX Research in the daily operations of the UXR program.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to develop research plans that align with the product roadmap.
Manage research intake requests from stakeholders, creating structured research plans that drive alignment and reduce inefficiencies.
Plan and execute evaluative research for new and existing features.
Conduct qualitative customer interviews to generate insights that inform product and design decisions.
Set up and manage unmoderated user tests.
Plan, manage, and synthesize quantitative research efforts such as surveys.
Work with researchers across different verticals to gather holistic fan insights and connect learnings across the Fanatics organizations.
Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
Advocate for research findings and the voice-of-the-customer in a variety of settings and across stakeholders.
Assist in research operations work such as research participant management, data management, defining and documenting processes, selecting research tools, and standardizing methods.
Qualification
Required
2-4 years of experience in UX research, usability testing, or a related field.
Strong foundational knowledge of user-centered design principles and UX research methodologies.
Ability to synthesize insights and communicate findings in a clear, impactful way.
Time management skills that support reporting on customer insights regularly.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product development environment.
Familiarity with research tools such as UserTesting, survey software, and use of AI tools.
Good communication skills (written and spoken), and a comfort level with sharing research results to stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
Proven collaboration skills and comfort with building connections throughout an organization.
Preferred
Experience with quantitative research methods and data analysis.
Background in human-computer interaction (HCI) or user experience design.
Experience working within an agile product development environment.
