The Associate Director, Content Strategy is a storyteller and client-facing leader who will lead cross-functional teams to design and craft award-winning experiences for clients, utilizing deep knowledge of the creative and digital landscape.
- Editorial content strategy (All discovery phase CS, including content inventories and content assessments)
- UX content strategy (All design phase CS, including content audits, gap analyses, taxonomies, copy and content planning)
- Delivery content strategy (All build phase CS, including content matrices, work flows and governance, guidelines, migration support)
Key Contributions
Building the XD department and content strategy practice at Verndale through the delivery of exceptional work
Educating both internal and external teams on the benefits of content strategy and how it can enhance the user experience
Scoping and estimating of projects
Presenting polished, client-ready deliverables, ideas, project updates, etc.
Leading through inspiration, example, advocacy, and mentoring
Key Knowledge
Must have considerable knowledge and expertise of a wide variety of platforms and content management systems (like Sitecore, etc.) and the end-to-end digital transformation process, including the steps of a redesign, migration, and all related content strategy activities.
Qualification
Required
Strong presentation skills with the ability to command a room
Experience leading cross-functional teams of expert practitioners
Ability to design, pitch, and craft award-winning experiences
Good listening and synthesizing skills to extract meaningful insights from research, culture, lived experiences, and strategy inputs
Deep and wide knowledge of the end-to-end creative and digital landscape
Specialized knowledge of how content can make experiences both more effective and affective
Understanding of all aspects of content strategy, including building it into projects, integrating with other capabilities, and executing deliverables
Experience in editorial content strategy, UX content strategy, and delivery content strategy
Ability to educate internal and external teams on the benefits of content strategy
Experience in scoping and estimating projects
Ability to present polished, client-ready deliverables, ideas, and project updates
Experience in leading through inspiration, example, advocacy, and mentoring
Considerable knowledge and expertise of a wide variety of platforms and content management systems (like Sitecore, etc.)
