Responsibilities

Provide technical software engineering designs and implementations on small teams developing autonomy software for uncrewed underwater vehicles
Provide detailed designs for features, write code and unit tests, and support the software integration efforts across cross-functional teams
Work within an Agile software team to follow consistent lightweight processes and continuously improve on our practices and processes
Work with other software engineers in a collaborative environment

Qualification

Required

Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Language skills in C++ within a Linux environment
Familiarity and basic understanding of Software Design Patterns
Experience with virtualized development and production environments (VMware, Docker, etc.)
Experience with Agile-based methodologies using the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or similar tools
Ability to communicate and share ideas, concepts, designs, and technical plans with a team of engineers
Constant integrity in working with our employees and customers
Able to obtain a Secret clearance

Preferred

Language skills in Java within a Linux environment
Range of experience in languages such as C#, Python, Rust, and others
Experience with system autonomy software in C++ or other languages
Experience with testing code across multiple projects
Ability to identify and resolve code defects in new and legacy code
Background with the design, development, integration, and test of autonomous or remotely operated undersea vehicle systems
Experience with ROS, Google Protocol Buffers, Python, SCons, and VSCode is a plus
