Community Health Systems is one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers. As a Fixed Assets Accountant, you will be responsible for asset management, ensuring accurate asset information, and collaborating with various departments to align fixed assets with organizational goals.
Maintaining records, tracking, tagging of all fixed assets, including acquisition cost, depreciation, disposal, and other relevant information.
Participating in periodic reviews of fixed assets to make sure that the asset is still in use and has not been transferred, impaired or disposed. Submitting any needed corrections for approval.
Participate, as needed, with Finance during close processes; monthly, quarterly and year end.
Collaborate with other departments, such as local Project Managers, SBO Controllers, IT, Corporate Treasury and Tax to ensure that fixed assets are aligned with broader organizational goals and objectives.
Assist in assessing current processes and identifying improvements, testing and applying those in production.
Qualification
Required
One to two years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university
Strong understanding of general accounting knowledge and principles
Strong computer skills
Preferred
Google Suite
Oracle
Experience in IT Finance, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets
Multi-site accounting experience
