Responsibilities

Prepares financial analysis to support the monthly balance sheet and income statements.
Provides variance support on balance sheet flux and P&L review items
Maintains the general ledger.
Sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform interim audit requests and annual audits.
Provides internal auditors with assigned SOX/control support.
Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
Prepares and loads assigned journal entries.
Assists non accounting areas with monthly close items including journal entries.
Provides support with various balance sheet accounts.
May assist with reconciling bank accounts.
May assist with reconciling cash disbursement accounts and other assigned financial accounts.
Coordinates with senior accountant to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Will be member of project teams for process improvements.

Qualification

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
1+ years of related experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
