Data Associate, Ratings Data Operations CoE

As a Data Associate in the Ratings Data Operations Center of Excellence, you will design and implement solutions to enhance data management and support the Ratings business, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure data quality and drive efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze business use-cases and feature requests into technical designs and development tasks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advise on general questions and inquiries as the 'SME' (Subject Matter Expert)
  • Work closely with technology, product and other stakeholders to connect analytical, commercial, and data architecture to drive AI+ capabilities across the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring technology and data initiatives are closely aligned with business needs.
  • Solve inquiries through data or technical analysis and manage a portfolio of initiatives driven by data

Qualification

Required

  • BA/BS – preferably in Computer Science, Finance, Economics or Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Problem Solving, Analysis and Project Management Skills
  • Must have advanced excel skills, and be experienced with SQL or Databricks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a particular focus on customer service
  • Must be proactive with a demonstrated ability to self-manage, take initiative and meet deadlines without supervision
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • A high energy, fast-paced mindset with strong emotional intelligence and an assertive style
  • A thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for choosing proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals

Preferred

  • At least 1 year of applicable data experience within a financial services environment
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets (Corporate, Financial Services, Sovereigns, Structured Finance and USPF), knowledge of Credit Rating process
  • Experience with Python or other programming languages
