Tetra Tech provides innovative solutions focused on water, the environment and energy for the government and commercial clients. They are seeking a Data Analyst to join their Facility Assessment team, where the role involves generating queries, performing data analytics, and managing large datasets to support quality control and data visualization efforts.
Generate scripts and queries in Microsoft (MS) Access and using SQL.
Perform database queries and generate reports to support QC review of deliverables.
Perform data analytics using tools like Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik, and Tableau.
Manage large datasets, typically mdb’s and photos, for reference and record purposes.
Create data visualizations, dashboards, data forensics, and perform minimum programming in Python or other codes to support linking datasets or databases together to conduct data analysis.
Develop tools, queries, workflows, processes that leverage artificial intelligence.
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Entry level position.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed, approximately 25%.
Qualified candidates will have experience using MS Office applications and will be proficient in Access and SQL.
More highly qualified candidates will possess a demonstrable ability to leverage Excel macros and Access forms, SQL queries and VBA scripting to process data and automate tasks.
Proficiency in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, and SQL.
Other programming languages is a plus.
Understanding, knowledge or interest in learning AI, machine learning, ChatGPT, digital twins, and Fusion Map.
Ability to work independently with minimum oversight while maintaining schedule discipline.
Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight schedules.
A valid driver’s license.
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.
Preferred
Experience with tools such as MS DOS batch files, MS Powershell, VBScript, MS SQL Server, AutoDesk AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, or MS Visual Studio
Experience with Microsoft PowerBI or other Business Intelligence related tools
