U.S. Bank is committed to helping customers and businesses make better financial decisions. The CTR Research Analyst will support the Currency Transaction Department by ensuring compliance with procedures, conducting data research, and assisting with regulatory reporting.
Supporting development, review, implementation, and ongoing compliance with department procedures.
Working with department management to develop new procedures, ensuring completion of annual reviews and publishing of procedures to department inventory site.
Scheduling department meetings and ensuring communication and/or training is implemented for changes in procedures.
Research and remediation of data requests located by the operations team.
Initiating communication with the business line and utilizing internal resources to correct system of record information.
Conducting quality reviews to assure data is compliant with regulatory guidance on both prior and post records filing.
Communicating professionally with verbal and written skills with internal partners.
Filing of Canada Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) transactions when required.
Assisting in the implementation of an effective risk management framework by reviewing CTRs and EFTs to ensure all regulatory fields are completed to meet the guidelines established in the Bank Secrecy Act or Canada Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA).
Assisting with reviewing and working various reporting to assure compliant data is reporting to the regulator.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically, more than two years of applicable experience
Preferred
Intermediate knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
Intermediate understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Basic knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
