AT&T is a telecommunications company that provides wireless communications, internet services, digital television, and more. The Cloud Security Specialist is responsible for cyber security across products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications, ensuring protection for AT&T and its stakeholders. The role involves working with senior team members on various projects, supporting innovation, technical proof of concepts, and compliance in cloud and datacenter environments.
Coordination and partnering with security technology vendors, Software-as-a-Service providers, and public-cloud solution providers to drive security platform improvements.
Continual identification, hands-on evaluation and pilot new technology features to efficiently meet evolving security requirements.
Employing best practices to ensure compliance with common standards and organizational security requirements for application and architecture design.
Develop and present/demonstrate solution and feature designs
Troubleshoot/resolve security related customer/user issues.
Qualification
Required
Requires 1-3 years of related experience
Requires Daily Office Presence (5 days a week) in Dallas, Texas or Middletown, New Jersey. No relocation assistance is provided
Knowledge in security technology management and operational best practices and the ability to incorporate new concepts for advancing and improving existing methods and procedures is necessary
Progressive security architecture experience working with startups and large security-mature enterprises
Experience in commercial or web-scale system software development and delivery
Proficient in a modern scripting and programming languages such as Shell/BASH, YAML, Java, NodeJS and Python
Familiar with modern Infrastructure as Code declarative languages such as Terraform and Cloudformation
Required Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cyber Security related
Typically requires 2-3 years of experience
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Comp Sci, Engineering, or Cyber Security
Experience with the Angular web application framework
AWS or Azure Certification in Architecture, DevOps, SysOps or Security
