Bank of Hawaii Corporation is a bank holding company. They are seeking a Specialist II in IT Risk Management to interface with various departments to identify and manage information security risks, improve awareness, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Leads assigned information security risk management activities including IT security risk assessments, substantive testing on user access provisioning, change management compliance review and vendor risk assessments, and coordinates the remediation of identified gaps and issues.
Develops information security training, education, and awareness program including reporting, the development of training tools, tips, alerts, and training schedules.
Coordinates activities related to IT disaster recovery. Assists with reviewing plans and test results for quality assurance. Assists with tabletop exercises as needed.
Assists with maintaining and enhancing the information technology and information security governance program. Recommends changes to, maintains, develops, and revises corporate wide information security, information technology, and identity theft program policies, procedures and standards. Provides guidance to the Bank user community regarding the necessary components for the Information Technology, Information Security and Identity Theft Programs.
Assists with scheduling and coordinating incident response exercises and ensuring timely update of associated policies and procedures.
Assists with managing ongoing business partnerships and communication regarding the information security and identity theft programs, including regular activity reporting and updates to the user community. Interprets regulatory requirements and corporate policies, communicates changes, and provides oversight of compliance as required.
Performs other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Security from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years of information security/information technology work experience in a combination of the following areas: Maintaining or developing information security awareness and education programs, Conducting or assisting in information security assessments, Experience with information technology audits, preferably in financial services industry, Knowledge or experience with IT disaster preparedness planning and/or emergency response plans, Experience working with Sarbanes Oxley, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and other laws and regulations affecting the financial services industry.
Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access, Power Point and SharePoint) or similar software.
Knowledge of or ability to use bank software and systems.
Demonstrated solid knowledge in information security and risks/information technology.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.
Analytical and well organized with project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative work style and the ability to interact effectively with staff.
Must possess problem solving skills with the flexibility to adapt approach as required to achieve goals in different business areas.
Knowledgeable of information security systems concepts, new approaches, techniques and best practices.
Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed.
May travel off-island as required.
