Globe Life is an insurance company seeking a Privacy Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will support all aspects of the Privacy Program related to federal and state privacy laws and ensure successful privacy operations by analyzing and converting information into actionable knowledge.
Ensure privacy forms, policies, standards, and procedures are up-to-date, accurate, and within risk tolerance levels.
Perform initial and periodic information privacy risk assessment/analysis, mitigation and remediation.
Conduct related ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities in coordination with the organization's other compliance and operational assessment functions.
Ensure the organization has and maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality consents, authorization forms, information notices and other materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements.
Work cross functionally with Security, IT, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Compliance, and Sales to provide guidance on effectiveness of privacy controls.
Support privacy outreach and awareness-building.
Assist with administrative aspects of privacy requests (logging, tracking, and coordination).
Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster information privacy awareness within the organization and related entities.
Provide guidance to internal business partners regarding compliance with privacy regulations (SME).
Coordinate and collaborate with regulatory and compliance functions.
Conduct data privacy impact assessments.
Perform and provide recommendations on privacy processes around Privacy Incident Investigations and Response, Privacy Program Assurance and Audits, Privacy Impact and Risk Assessments, and Stakeholder Communication and Management under the guidance of the privacy manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Some travel may be required.
Research and stay current with privacy related news and changes to policies.
Stay informed on applicable privacy laws and accreditation standards.
Research applicable laws, regulations, and standards that Globe Life must comply with.
Communicate effectively and proactively with ideas and recommendations for optimizing business operations, resources and capacity to meet internal and external compliance goals.
Qualification
Required
BA or BS in a technical field or equivalent experience.
1-2 years in a Privacy and/or GRC related role.
Experience building and implementation risk programs.
Experience with major compliance audits (CCPA, PIPEDA, GDPR, HIPAA, New Zealand: Privacy Act, Information Privacy Principles, and Codes of Practice).
CIPP/US certification from IAPP.
CIPP/C certification from IAPP.
Communicate clear and precise explanations of team policies and protocols.
High technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to use combination of analysis, experience and judgment to develop feasible solutions.
Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to work under multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
A high level of integrity and trust.
Familiar with relevant legislation and standards for the protection of information.
Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.
Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.
Preferred
3+ years in a Privacy and/or GRC related role.
Experience with FAIR (Factor Analysis of Information Risk).
