SAIC provides scientific, engineering, and systems integration and technical services and solutions in the United States. They are seeking a talented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to monitor and mitigate security risks for customer computing systems and networks, contributing to the safeguarding of valuable weapon systems and data.
Leverage technical and information assurance (IA) expertise to monitor customer’s computing systems, networks, and environments to detect, correct, and mitigate security policy non-compliance, vulnerabilities, and risks.
Work with multi-disciplined engineering teams and organizations to develop and implement security strategies to mitigate security risks for mission-critical information systems, networks, and computing environments.
Qualification
Required
Bachelors and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT security or related field.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required - (CompTIA Sec+, GSEC, CCNA-Security, CySA+, SSCP).
Strong understanding of DoD security policies and guidelines, including Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Experience with managing and implementing security controls and requirements for DoD information systems.
Experience with conducting security assessments.
Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability assessment tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to travel as required.
U.S. Citizenship.
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Preferred
Experience with SSBN/Ballistic Missile Submarines and Navy combat/weapon systems is extremely desired.
Navy Firecontrol Technician (FT) or Missile Technician (MT) experience, Enlisted Navy experience, and systems engineering or cybersecurity experience.
TS/SCI preferred.
Experience in developing information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
