They are seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to plan, design, configure, and install network hardware in support of customer requirements, while maintaining technical expertise in networks and computer hardware/software interconnection.
Creating and ensuring that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions
Participating in peer review of network documentation and configurations
Providing regular monitoring, and network analysis, regarding short and long-range planning for SIL systems
Coordinating third-party maintenance for network equipment
Designing networks, or portions of networks, including the selection of hardware and software packages
Performing troubleshooting analysis of network infrastructure and associated systems
Installing and configuring various vendors routers, switches and firewalls
Periodically providing after-hours and weekend support
Implementing and troubleshooting Internet Protocol (IP) routing protocols
Qualification
Required
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline AND 2 years of qualifiable professional/military experience in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of experience
Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the start of employment
Must be willing and able to work various shifts depending on the business needs.
Professional experience with LAN/WAN based networks, (E.g. designing and maintaining networks, managing routing protocols on large LAN environments, etc.)
Professional experience with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, and firewalls)
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related
Current SCI, or SAP/SAR access
Network+ certification and/or a Cisco CCNA (or a CCNA) or other Network Certification
Security+ certified
Network design, analysis, and administration of routers, switches, and firewalls
Experience in the use of network analysis tools (i.e. WireShark, SolarWinds, etc.)
