Cyber Security Engineer - Manufacturing IT

Responsibilities

  • Become knowledgeable in Plant/MFG Quality process, tools & methods.
  • Implement and support the integration of security COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) applications in Manufacturing.
  • Administer application infrastructure to support COTS applications.
  • Work with cross functional teams for solution issue resolution.
  • Develop test scenarios for application verification and deployment.
  • Coordinating and participating in validation and test activities in collaboration with Advanced Manufacturing teams.
  • Provide tactical support when required for COTS validation and rollout on industrial devices.
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans of threat intelligence sources to determine potential risk to deployed solutions within the manufacturing domain.
  • Manage OpenShift environment to administer the application.

Qualification

Required

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field OR a combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Operational Technology (OT) Security (Asset Mgt. and Vulnerability Mgt.)
  • Understanding of Cyber Threats and the risk they pose to the Mfg. Environment.
  • Understanding of systems architecture concepts.
  • Understanding of IT/OT integration and the associated challenges and opportunities.
  • 1+ years of experience with application administration, deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to Manufacturing Plant Floor Systems.
  • 1+ years of API management or development for existing and future data ingestion requirements.
  • 1 + years of experience with programming/scripting languages.
  • 1 + years of experience with database administration (SQL, Mongo, etc.)
  • 1 + years of experience with server administration (Windows, Linux, etc.)
  • 1 + years of experience with network administration. (Subnetting, Firewalls, VLAN)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working independently as well as on a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in working in an advanced development/deployment team.
  • Familiar with development and use of scripts and test harnesses for testing and evaluation.
  • Familiar with various operating systems and industrial PC Hardware.
