They are seeking a Cyber Range Test Engineer to support a cutting-edge Cyber Program by guiding the definition, implementation, and delivery of capabilities focused on U.S. CYBER COMMANDS Persistent Cyber Range Environment.
Support the design and creation of cyber range training test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
Perform unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required. Additionally support Range Engineers’ building and testing of new content.
Perform testing of existing training content to ensure the content is available on demand, that the training material is accurate, and that all necessary resources are available and function as intended.
Support regular validation of training content; including ensuring that all the listed cyber security tools function as intended.
Work closely with the customer, development staff and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and software implementation.
Participate in building and supporting virtualized networks and workstations as required.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer engineering, computer science, information technology, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years of applicable testing experience. May substitute relevant military or work experience in lieu of degree.
CompTIA Security+ certification (or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
Two (2) years’ experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
Must possess a current TS/SCI clearance to be considered for this role.
Preferred
Cyber Operations Training and DevOps experience
Experience with common cyber security tools such as Splunk, SecurityOnion, Nessus, and Wireshark
Experience with Jira/Confluence
Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
Experience with virtualization
Familiar with Linux.
